Dear Moffat School District #2 Community,

I’m honored to introduce myself as the incoming Superintendent of Moffat Consolidated School District #2. It’s a privilege to join a district with a rich history and a strong commitment to student success.

Over the past year, I’ve enjoyed settling into life in the San Luis Valley and getting to know the area. I currently reside in Monte Vista and look forward to building meaningful relationships within the Moffat School District communities as we work together to support our students. With over 20 years of experience in education—including roles in both the Denver metro area and Cañon City Schools—I’ve developed a deep appreciation for student-centered practices, innovation, and the power of strong school-community partnerships. I’m passionate about creating engaging opportunities for students in grades K–12 by making the most of our current resources, exploring new ones, and thinking creatively to meet the needs of every learner.

As we prepare to launch the 2025-2026 school year, I’m especially excited to connect with the people who make this district special—our students, families, staff, and community members. I invite you to join us for the District Meet and Greet on August 7 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at our new administration building. I’d love the opportunity to introduce myself and hear your thoughts on how we can continue to grow and strengthen our schools. It's  a busy time of year, and if we aren't able to connect there, I also look forward to seeing you throughout the year at school events, athletic competitions, and community gatherings. I’m excited for the journey ahead and all we will accomplish together - Go Cowboys! Reaching and Achieving!

Hello Moffat Cowboys!

It has been my pleasure to serve this school and community since January 2021. I have enjoyed getting to know the staff, students, and families here at Moffat. As a San Luis Valley native, I am proud to have the opportunity to serve and support my local community.

Before deciding to join Moffat Schools, I spent the first 14 years of my educational career in the elementary classroom. During this time I also had the opportunity to work with middle and high school students at after-school tutoring and summer programs. These experiences helped to prepare me for working with the wide age range of students here at Moffat’s PreK-12 school.

I look forward to continuing my work here at Moffat Schools. I believe that together we can guide our school and students to a brighter future. When we hold ourselves and others to high expectations more often than not everyone rises to the challenge. Let’s rise to the challenge and work together to make Moffat Schools the best educational experience for our students.
