    Highlights:

·The soon-to-be superintendent, Charlie Warren, and I have met informally and discussed many things as we approach the transition. We are both looking forward to working together to make the transition as smooth as possible.

·Moffat School had to call a snow day on Monday, March 3rd, due to road conditions in the northern and western parts of the district, requiring an extra day to be added to the calendar. The make-up day will be Friday, April 25th.

·Wednesday, April 23rd promises to be a busy day. We will be having a CDE Title I audit at Moffat School – the first one in the thirteen years I have been at Moffat. We are starting the process of reviewing our records, policies and practices. Also on April 23rd will be the Teacher of the Year recognition dinner. Congratulations to Michele Hammel, Moffat Preschool Teacher, for this well-deserved honor. Ms. Hammel will present at the April BOE meeting on April 21st.

·I attended a luncheon meeting in Alamosa on March 3rd (the roads were better to the south that day) in support of Trinidad State Junior College’s accreditation process. We had an opportunity to discuss the ways that our schools and students interact with TSJC.
