    57% of our middle school students are proficient in CSAP Reading. Up 1% from last years 56%.
    8th grade
    NWEA: 40% met expected gains either in the Spring ’06
     CSAP
    Reading- 50% proficient
    7th grade
    NWEA: 100% met expected gains either in the Spring ’06 or Fall ’06 testing when compared to Fall 2005 scores.
     CSAP Reading- 67% proficient
    6th grade
    NWEA: 88% met expected gains either in the Spring ’06 or Fall ’06 testing when compared to Fall 2005 scores.

    Reading- 55% proficient
     
    Seventy percent of our middle school students will increase their Reading scores by 3 points or more (target growth) in either Spring 2007 or Fall 2007 NWEA reading scores as compared to Fall 2006 NWEA scores.
    -Step Up to Writing (Reading Strategies Units)
     
    -Accelerated Reader,       STAR testing and That’s a Fact Jack reading assessments

    -Core Knowledge Language Arts Units
     
    -30 minutes of daily reading strategy instruction and activities.
